Prostadine and Blood Thinners: Ingredients to Discuss
Prostadine and blood thinners have not been studied together, so no one can call the mix safe. Reports link pomegranate juice with stronger warfarin effects, and herb-drug interactions are a known concern for narrow-margin drugs like warfarin. If you take a blood thinner, ask your doctor or pharmacist before ordering.

Is Prostadine safe with blood thinners?
Nobody can say Prostadine is safe with blood thinners, because it has never been tested with them. The label also gives no amounts, so a pharmacist cannot judge strength.
Blood thinners such as warfarin sit in a narrow window. Too little protects less, and too much raises bleeding risk. NCCIH says caution is especially warranted when herbs are combined with narrow-margin drugs like warfarin, though most reported herb-drug interactions rest on weak evidence (NCCIH, Herb-Drug Interactions).
Its worked examples did not include the Prostadine ingredients. That is a gap, not a clearance.
| Ingredient | What we found |
|---|---|
| Pomegranate | Reports with warfarin, from juice |
| Saw palmetto | No specific interactions listed by NCCIH |
| Other seven | No data found for this question |
Can pomegranate interact with warfarin?
Pomegranate juice may interact with warfarin, according to observational reports, but the size of the effect is unproven. A 2023 review said pomegranate constituents inhibit enzymes called CYP3A4 and CYP2C9, which handle many medicines (Mansoor et al., Molecules 2023).
Those studies used juice, mostly in single doses. Prostadine lists pomegranate extract in an unknown amount. The result may not carry over, and it may not be zero.
That is why we say "ask" and not "avoid". The honest picture is a possible interaction with unknown weight. Our pomegranate page covers what the PSA studies did and did not show.
Small changes in how the body clears warfarin can move blood tests. Your clinic may want extra checks after any new supplement.
What should you tell your doctor about Prostadine?
Tell your doctor or pharmacist the full ingredient list and that no amounts are printed. Bring the sales page, not only the bottle.

FAQ01
Quick answers on Prostadine and blood thinners
Does Prostadine thin the blood by itself?
We found no evidence that it does, and no study of the drops exists. The concern is a change in how your blood thinner works, not a thinning effect of the product. Ask your clinic about that distinction.
Are aspirin and Prostadine a problem together?
Aspirin also affects bleeding, so a pharmacist should check it with any new supplement. We found no study of aspirin with the nine ingredients. Do not stop low-dose aspirin that a doctor prescribed for your heart.
Should I stop Prostadine before a blood test?
Tell the person ordering the test that you take it, and let them decide. Some supplements can alter lab results (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements). Do not stop a blood thinner, but do mention the drops.
