Prostadine Heavy Metals: Seaweed and Shilajit Purity Risks
Prostadine heavy metals have not been tested in any report we can find, because the vendor publishes no lab result. The risk comes from the ingredient types. Brown seaweeds can carry arsenic, and some shilajit samples have exceeded safety limits. That is a reason to ask for a certificate, not proof of contamination.

Does Prostadine contain heavy metals?
We do not know whether Prostadine contains heavy metals, because no lab report for it is public. The vendor shows lot and certificate codes, but they are seller references, not test results.
What we can say is where metals could come from. Two of the nine ingredients belong to groups with known metal questions.
| Ingredient | Known question | Tested in Prostadine? |
|---|---|---|
| Kelp, wakame, bladderwrack, nori | Arsenic, cadmium, lead | No report |
| Shilajit | Lead, arsenic, mercury in some samples | No report |
Can seaweed in Prostadine carry arsenic or lead?
Yes, seaweed can carry arsenic, cadmium and lead, and brown seaweeds carry the most arsenic. A food-safety review of 25 seaweeds found brown types, the group with kelp, wakame and bladderwrack, at 11 to 162 mg/kg of arsenic, mostly in a less harmful organic form (Yu et al., Food Chem Toxicol 2024).
Food portions look reassuring. A Korean study of 426 dried seaweeds found low health risk from mercury, lead and cadmium at about 8.5 g a day (Hwang et al., Korean seaweed metals 2010). But that was food, not a concentrated powder.
Seaweed supplements can also differ from their labels, and one product tells you little about another (LactMed, Seaweed (kelp, bladderwrack)). See the bladderwrack page for more.
Low risk in a meal does not prove low risk in a bottle. Only a batch test shows that.
Is shilajit in Prostadine safe from metals?
Shilajit is a resin that can pick up metals from rock and soil, so purification and testing matter. A review found about 65 metals in shilajit, including lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury. Most reported levels sat under limits, but a few studies found them exceeded (Hussain & Saeed, Biol Trace Elem Res 2024).
A lab test of two shilajit products sold worldwide found several metals over permitted limits (Aldakheel et al., Biol Trace Elem Res 2022). That was a small sample and does not show every shilajit product is unsafe.
Prostadine lists shilajit with no amount and no statement of purification. Our shilajit page covers the sleep and antioxidant claims, which the evidence does not support for this product.
- Purification is not described on the sales page.
- Metal limits for the finished drops are not stated.
- No third-party lab is named.

See packsHow can you ask for a heavy metal test?
You can ask the order desk for a certificate of analysis, and a real one has specific features.
Ask in writing
Request a certificate for your lot number from the order desk before you open the bottle.
Check the metals
It should show arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury, with results and limits.
Check the lab
It should name an independent lab, a date and your lot.
Our testing and quality page explains what the vendor badges do and do not prove. If no certificate comes back, use that as your answer, and remember the 60-day guarantee.

FAQ01
Quick answers on Prostadine heavy metals
Does a GMP badge mean the drops were tested for metals?
Not by itself. The vendor badge names no certifier, and GMP rules require identity and quality controls, not a public metal result. Ask for the certificate of analysis, which is the document that shows measured metal levels for a lot.
Who is most at risk from metals in supplements?
Heavy use over months matters more than one dose, and children and pregnant women are the groups most often warned. We have no data on Prostadine, so people in those groups should skip it and ask a doctor.
What symptoms would suggest metal exposure?
Early signs are vague: stomach upset, tiredness, numbness or tingling. They fit many conditions, so do not self-diagnose. Stop the product and call your doctor if they appear after you start any supplement, and mention the bottle.
